Who's excited for the Oscars?
Are you guys going to watch it? Do you have any favorites that you want to win? What do you think will win Best Picture?

Honestly, I might gripe about the Academy's choices a lot, or gripe about how I "don't give a sh*t about the Academy or the Oscars" or "how the Oscars are one giant self-congratulatory circle-jerk" but when it comes down to it, I know I'm gonna watch the ceremony, I'd be lying to myself if I said otherwise.
As for nominees, I haven't really seen any of the nominees this year (because in case you haven't noticed, going to the movies is freaking expensive) so I really don't have a dog in this fight. I think most of the awards will be a battle between "Wolf of Wall Street", "American Hustle" and "12 Years a Slave", the same way that "Lincoln", "Argo" and "Life of Pi" dominated last year's.
I do really hope Judi Dench wins best actress, because although I haven't seen "Philomena", she's a fantastic actress and deserves it. It's probably a long shot.
